The Human stupidity...

 A estupidez da Humanidade 

Nós passamos as nossas vidas a lutar para conseguir que pessoas ligeiramente mais estúpidas que nós aceitem as verdades que os grandes homens conheceram desde sempre. Já há milhares de anos que eles sabiam que fechar uma pessoa doente num ambiente solitário torna-a ainda pior. 

Já há milhares de anos que eles sabiam que um homem pobre que é assustado, pelo seu patrão, e pela polícia, é um escravo. 

Eles sabiam. Nós sabemos. 

Mas será que a granda massa iluminada dos britânicos o sabem? 

Não. É o nosso dever, Ella, o teu e o meu, de lhes dizer. Porque os grandes homens são demasiado grandes para serem incomodados. 

Estão já a descobrir como colonizar Vénus e como irrigar a Lua. Isso é que é o mais importante para o nosso tempo. 

Tu e eu somos os empurradores da pedra. Todas as nossas vidas, tu e eu, temos que empregar as nossas energias, e todo o nosso talento, a empurrar uma enorme pedra por uma montanha acima. 

A pedra é a verdade que os grandes homens sabem por instinto, e a montanha é a estupidez da humanidade.
